Post Secondary Department Manager Training Program - Eight months of training for post secondary graduates, which is customized to the trainee's qualifications, experience and required development, in order to prepare them for a management career.
- Work terms of four to eight months to Co-operative Business Education students to complete the work experience requirements of their program.
- Management development in: Accounting, Agro, Food, Gas Bar/Convenience Store, Pharmacy.
- A mentorship learning program which provides trainees with skills and experience in the following areas: Business Planning, Budgeting/Financial Analysis, Ordering/Buying Strategies, Inventory Control, Pricing Strategies, Marketing Strategies, Merchandising, Service Management and Human Resources Management.
- A variety of training experiences in key performance areas including assignments, quizzes, progress reviews, hands-on learning, and off site seminars.
- Competitive salaries while training.
- Placement in management positions upon completion of the training program.
Eligibility - Candidates must be students or graduates of two to four year post secondary education programs.
- Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills with leadership potential.
- Related background experience is considered an asset.
Student Development Program - Summer employment to students who are enrolled in a diploma or degree program.
- Career opportunities in a variety of commodity areas including: Gas Bar/Convenience Store, Food, Agriculture, Accounting, Pharmacy.
- Training for a rewarding management career.
- A customized training plan will be provided for the length of a student's work term.
- Experience and development of key management skills specific to the commodity area in which students will be working.
- Work term placements for Co-operative Business Program students.
- Offered employment and continuing management development for post-secondary graduates upon completion of their degree or diploma.
- Tuition reimbursement paid to students two years after graduation. Students are eligible to receive 75% of their final year's tuition based on full time CRS employment.
Eligibility - Students must have successfully completed one year of a two year diploma program or two years of a degree program.
- Students must show strong leadership qualities and possess excellent interpersonal skills, along with the capability of becoming a future General Manager within the CRS.
